What is a Associate Site?

As a Quote Synergy Associate Partner you will receive what's known as a channel site. With over 34 channels to choose from and 47 area groups each website will have its own unique URL and will be registered with the Quote Synergy Group to provide services under a Service Domain.

Each site will have its own look and feel and will be tailored towards users that require the service. The site will be hosted by Quote Synergy and will have a secure admin section that enables the owner of the site to have full administration over the site.

The site will have a merchant payment gateway that enables users to pay for services. In addition all sites will have requirement posting, requirement bidding, user registration, directory listing, offers posting, articles, newsletters and advertising modules that can be included or removed for a particular installation.

What are Sectors and Channels

Each associate member is registered to provide services in a particular sector otherwise known as channels . This means that if a user registers and posts a project in this area it will be handled by that site and not forwarded to any other. The Associate should have a domain name - URL that relates to the service. The site will provide information/articles that relate to that sector. The site will look like a site that is orientated towards the sector chosen the and will therefore allow users to post projects that relate.

For example if the franchisee site has chosen the housing channel this means that their site allows users that wish to buy or sell a house to meet people that wish to sell or buy a house. The site might be called www.HousingSiteForU.com and will handle any projects that are posted that relate to housing.

If a sector or channel is not owned by the associate member then the request will be redirected to Quote Synergy.

How do Associate Groups Work?

These are based on location. The idea behind it is that an associate group is created based on the numbers of businesses and population in an area. It is the job of the associate partner within the associate group to register as many service providers as possible that provide services in the area.

The associate partner can then begin trying to find clients that require these services or indeed any service from any where in the UK. If a registered user of a site within the associate group is looking for a service that their site does not provide they will be redirected to another site within the group that does.

Choose a Channel and Area

Selecting which channel you wish to focus your business on can be quite a lengthy process. Some of you may already have an idea of what interest you and what channels you feel will reward financially either in the short-term or long term.

Here are just some questions you should ask yourself before selecting your sector:

• Do you have a client base already established within this sector ?
• Do you have previous knowledge or experience within this sector ?
• Does this sector enthuse you ?
• Are you aware of the market trends within this sector ?
• Do you know who your audience/potential clients will be ?
• Are you familiar with your competitors within this sector ?
• Do you believe this is the right sector for you ?

If you are able to provide a positive answer to at least 3 of these then you are on your way to owning your online business in that sector. If you are unable to provide 3 positive answers then sit down and review your selection process. You may want to get some advice or opinions from friends, family,Bank Manager etc. Sometimes others can see what you may not see within yourself.
